Cats take Cold Turkey

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

Northview captured The Cold Turkey Thanksgiving Tournament Championship with a 7-4 win over Trinity. It was the 2nd time in a 16 hour time span that they faced the Trojans. Matt Cook scored a pair of goals, as did Brent Bain, giving him 10 goals on the young season. Carter Bourland, Mark Hall and Bob Napierala each chipped in with single goals in the win. Craig Trego picked up the win to move his record to 4-0. It was a nice start to the season for the Cats who will see their schedule get increasingly tougher over the next few weeks. Games versus perennial state powers Padua, Bowling Green, St. Edwards, University School and both the local Catholics loom in the near future. The Cats will host Bowling Green Next Saturday night to kick off league play at 7. The Cats will also honor the 1982 state runner-up team. Members from the class of 82′ will face members from Bowling Greens 82′ team in a fun old time, and I do mean OLD, scrimmage at 5. The Junior Varsity teams play at 5:30 and the Varsity teams will close out the evening at 7.
