Players put magical 05-06 season behind them as tryouts begin.

by Coach Elliott on November 3, 2006

The wildcats take to the ice this weekend as tryouts for the 06-07 team get underway with a traditional 5 A.M. start to the season. 40 Young men and one girl, including 12 returning letterman from last years state runner-up team, will compete to make up this years version of the cats. Plenty of fire power returns up front led by captain Matt Cook and the junior line of Cody Bourland, Brent Bain and Brandon Snead. Defensively the Cats look as deep as they have in maybe the history of the progam. Returners Tyler Puhl, Eammon Reynolds, and Nic Saenz are Joined by Senior Ian Kelsey to form a very talented group. The goaltending will be led by Junior Craig Trego. After waiting his turn and providing excellent relief work his first 2 season, he will be asked to carry the load for this years team. All the players and coaching staff remain hungry as they fight to win the league crown and get back and try and capture that elusive state title. Good luck Cats!
