The Cats played well in their first game like situations of the new year. First year players Mark Hall, Nile Culver and Bobby Napierala got their feet wet up front, and the new look defense got steady play from Freshman newcomers Mycal Montieth, Brian Wadsworth, Jordan Jones as well as senior Ian Kelsey. However it was the play of the returning core that led the Cat attack. Three goals by Carter Bourland and two by Brandon Snead paced the Wildcats offense, while starter Craig Trego limited Upper Arlington to 1 goal on 20 shots. The Wildcats will host University School in a rematch of the state semi-final next Friday at 7 at Tam-o shanter.
