Cats Blank the Cougars

The Wildcats held off a spirited Southview Cougar team Friday night to earn a hard faught 4-0 win at Tam-O-Shanter. The Victory moved the Cats record to 16-4 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Brent Bain got the Cats on the board first as he took a pass from Nic Saenze in the slot and slid a backhand shot past the Cougar goalie to give the Cats a 1-0 lead. Freshman George Wilkinson made the score 2-0 at the end of 2 periods of play with his short handed effort. Carter Bourland and Tyler Cook would add single goals in the third, while Craig Trego Turned aside all 18 shots for his 5th shutout of the season.

The Cats will visit the Findlay Trojans Saturday night in an important league game.
