Cats #3 in state poll, 12-4 at the half-way point in the season!

The Northview Wildcats finished off the annual hectic holiday season winning  8 out of 10 over the break against some of the best teams in the state with 2 trips to Cleveland and some hard fought battles in the NHC. The Cats were able to collect 4 wins over top ten teams in the state poll to push their overall record to 12-4. The Cats did however drop their 1st game in the league versus St. Johns this past weekend. The 2 teams meet up again this Friday night @ 9 and Northview will need a win if they have hopes of a share of the league title.

Over the break the Cats traveled 1st to the Padua invitational. They picked up 3 wins over Padua 10-1, St. Edwards 4-2 and University School 3-1, but a lack of points in a  loss to University with the modified scoring system kept the Cats out of the Championship game.

The modified scoring system was even more evident the following weekend in Kent. The Cats were able to secure 4 wins but were not declared the Champions as they were unable to secure enough points. However quality wins over Walsh Jesuit 5-2, Hudson 5-2, Padua 9-1 and Shaker Heights 3-2 proved to be a strong weekend for the Cats!!

Northview returns to tam-o-shanter this weekend for a pair of league games versus #2 state ranked St.Johns and a tough Findlay Trojan team. Game time is 9 for Friday versus St. Johns and a 7 o’clock start versus Findlay. Please come out and support your Cats as they try to capture a 4th league title in 7 years.
