Cats struggle mightily after long pause…….look to regain traction in 2021!!

by Coach Elliott on January 12, 2021

The Northview Wildcats unfortunately realized their biggest fears at the St. Ignatius Invitational between the holidays. After nearly a month of being off and not playing a meaningful game while having limited team practices, the Cats ran into a buzzsaw of top teams and came home with 4 losses and wishing for a new day!!

Not only did they get a new day but they will usher in a new year with great optimism that 2021 will bring a consistent schedule and a renewed commitment to a season that looked so promising early on.

With the postponement of numerous games Northview will see a back loaded schedule as they look to build momentum for a league chase and ready themselves for the state playoffs. The Cats will play 15 games over the final 6 weekends of the regular season with an oportunity to right the ship and sail hedstrong into the 2021 state playoffs!

They will start the journey with a pair of games this weekend. On Saturday they will face an upstart Dayton Stealth team @ 6 at the Toledo Ice House. Sunday morning they will travel down to BGSU to take on the Yellow Jackets of Perrysburg in a league contest.

Northview will return to Tam-o-Shanter next weekend for a pair of games.

Good luck Cats!!!
