JV Cats capture league title for 3rd time in 4 seasons

by Coach Elliott on February 22, 2016

Coaches Anthony Holley and Nick Laplante have guided the Cats to their 3rd league title in the past 4 season after a 9-0-1 record in the continental division. The Cats outscored their opponents by a whopping 46 to 7. The JV Cats have an overall record of 16-3-1 and will look to continue their solid season as they will finish off in the JV state playoffs in Cleveland coming up at the end of the month.

Senior Jordan Micham’s leadership along with Sophomore Sam Sparmbleck have provided steady play along the blueline. Brennan Ottersen has the team lead in goals with fellow Sophomores Cameron Hall, Maizy Crandall, Ed Lammie, Joey Brown and Junior Chase Ortman all contributing on offense.

The Goalie tandem of Junior Johnny Rady and Sophomore Mason Snyder have limited the opponent all year never surrendering more than 2 goals in any of the 10 league games!

Veteran role players Keegan Pipes, Micheal Hill, Spencer Heath, Bailey Bridges, Larry Maurer, Stefan Orozco and Derek Schafer have all provided key minutes, while youngsters Jack Ferree and Lukas Posey continue to improve in what has become a true team effort.

Congratulation Cats on a fantastic year to date and good luck with the end of your season!!
