Drew Korn

by Coach Elliott on January 10, 2011

Drew Korn is in his 3rd year with the Wildcat Hockey program. During his 1st season, his Sophomore year,  Drew spent time between the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. He was able to see action in 23 of the Varsity games where he scored his 1st career goal and filled a valuable role as a checking line forward on a team that finished 2nd in the league and lost in the district final in double OT.

Last year Drew saw his responsibilities increase centering a line as well as seeing increased time with the specialty teams for the league and state runner-up Wildcats. He scored his 1st game winning goal while chipping in 5 total goals along with 4 assist. His improved play during the second half of the season helped his Wildcats run off 11 straight victories on its way to the stats final.

This year Drew has taken his game to the next level. Recently over the Holiday Tournament schedule Drew scored 5 goals and added 4 assist in 8 games versus the finest teams in Cleveland. His 11 points have him tied for 5th on the team. More importantly his play has helped in the developement of his young linemattes Nick Laplante and Cody Estrel as well as getting his team off to a 4-0 start in league play and 10-5-2 overall.  As the Cats head for the 2nd half of the season and into league and state playoffs Drew will be counted on for solid play and timely goal scoring. If his recent play is any indication the Cats should be in good shape. Good luck Drew on the rest of your Senior season and Congratulations on being a great Wildcat!
