Cedar Point is not the roller coaster capital of the world….The 2014-15 Northview Wildcats are!!

by Coach Elliott on February 19, 2015

The Northview Wildcats kept their roller coaster of a season going this past weekend with a hard fought win over #1 state ranked St. Francis 1-0 on Friday night followed up with a 4 to 1 loss against a beatable Culver Military Academy in Culver Indiana on Saturday evening.

On Friday night the Cats played perhaps their finest game of the season. Following a game plan to a T the Cats frustrated the #1 ranked Knights all evening in securing a 1 to 0 shutout win. Alex Syring scored off a rebound shot from Senior Lars Culver mid-way through the 2nd period for the only goal of the game and Junior goaltender Jarred Wulf made it stand up stopping all 35 shots for the shutout.

Saturday the Cats jumped on a Lakefront chartered bus for their annual trip as a team to Culver Indiana. Unfortunately mother nature was not on the same page and the trip was cut short due to the impending storm and the Cats played just 1 game before heading home. The Cats played pretty well, however the bounces did not go their way in a 4 to 1 loss. Brendan Pierson’s rising blast from the point was the lone goal as the Cats left a couple goals on the table in the loss.

Northview will head to Flint this Saturday afternoon to wrap up regular season play for a game with Flint Powers at Noon on Saturday.
