Cats literally play their guts out in win

by Coach Elliott on December 3, 2007

Northview held off a physical Bowling Green Bobcat team to earn a hard fought 3-2 win on Saturday night to move to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Coach Kross was busy all night in this one. Tyler Puhl, Jordan Jones and Jake Thorton were all taking in, and losing, fluids all night and Kyle Hymore was sitting after taking a vicous hit early in the first period. The Cats had to leave it all out on the ice to earn the win.
Northview would get on the board early as Brandon Snead lit the lamp just 4 minutes into the first period to give Northview the 1-0 lead. However, with Hymore sitting, B.G would score on back to back shifts to give them a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.
Northview refocused in the locker room and came out quick to start the second period. Eamonn Reynolds score the equalizer early in the 2nd and Carter Bourlands Power play goal proved to be the game winner mid way through the 2nd.
Craig Trego held Bowling Green off the score board the rest of the way to earn his 5th win of the year. Next week the Cats will travel to Findlay on Friday at 7 before heading to Columbus on Sunday for a game against Dublin Coffman.
