Cats in state final with 4 to 0 win.

The WIldcats advanced to the state final for the 4th time in school history with a four to nothing win over Columbus Dublin Coffman. The Cats got on the board late in the 1st period as Sophomore Zach Felser gathered a shot from Brent Easton to beat a spawling Coffman goalie and a 1 to 0 lead. Late in the 2nd the Cats would strike again. While being pulled down Junior forward Nolan Culver had the puck deflect of him and past the Rocks goalie for a 2-o lead after 2 periods of play. It would stay that way until the later moments of the 3rd. Nursing the 2-0 lead the Cats were whistled for back to back penalties to give Coffman a long 5 on 3 advantage. After the Rocks pulled their goalie for a 6 on 3 advantage, Junior Captain Tyler Harding Blocked numerous shots before sealing the win hitting the net from 160 feet and a 3-0 lead. Culver would add an insurance goal late as he took advantage of a turnover in front of the Coffman goalie for the final score cats 4 Dublin Coffman 0! The Cats will face CLeveland St. Ignatius for the right to be called state champions on Sunday.
