Cats even record after trip to South Bend

by Coach Elliott on January 30, 2014

Northview pushed its record to the .500 mark after 2 wins in Southbend Indiana this past weekend. More importantly with a 5-1-1 record in their past 7 games the Cats have started to put together the type of run they had expected from the start of the season. With the return of Sophomore Defenseman Jared Hilou this coming weekend that Cats will also be  healthy for the 1st time all season.

In the 1st game the Cats defeated an outmatched Adams-Marian team by a score of 7 to 1. An unfortunate bounce off of Kooper Carters skate was the only blemish on this day. Jake Koback led the way with a hat trick as a host of Wildcats joined in on the fun.

Later that evening the Cats took in a nice meal at the historic Legends restraunt and watched as the Notre Dame hockey team Defeated Northeastern 4 to 0 at the beautiful Compton Ice Arena.

The next morning Northview took on Southbend St. Joes and recorded a 4 to 0 win of their own.  Goalies Preston Due and David Marsh split time over the 2 games surredering just the 1 fluke goal.

Northview returns to league play this weekend for a pair of games. On Friday night the Cats salute their seniors on senior night versus St. Francis at 7. They then head to B.G. on Saturday afternoon for a 1:30 tilt with the Bobcats.
