Cats battle back from 3 down, lose in double OT

by Coach Elliott on March 4, 2009

The Wildcats show great charecter this past Saturday  as they overcame a 3-0 deficit in the 3rd period before falling to St. Johns in the District Finals.

The Titans were clinging to a 1-0 lead late in the 2nd period before striking for 2 goals late to head to intermission with a commanding 3-0 lead. These Cats as they had done all season refused to quit on themselves. Determined to o out swinging the Cats were electric in the third period. Senior MAtt Duvall scored early in the third to start the comeback and Kyle Hymore netted 2 more to send the game into extra frames.  With the Cats poised to steal the victory on the Power play, a marginal interference call evened up play. St. Johns would hit the game winner and dash the hopes of the 600 Wildcat fans and players. Final score St. Johns 4 NV 3
